Baan Khaolak Beach Resort is one of the few wheelchair accessible beach resorts in Thailand. The ideal accommodation for disabled persons is that we are willing to see those who disabled are able to enjoy their holiday in Thailand-South, especially at real beachfront resort at the most beautiful beaches.

Back to the starting point of defining ‘Resort for Family’. A common, yet strong, word ‘Family’ means everyone that is a member of a certain household that lives together - from infant to elderly. This leads to the idea of a resort that is designed to serve all members of a family; parents with infants and elderly must not have any difficulties enjoying their holiday in our resort.

In extension to the existing idea, since those who are elderly with mobile difficulties or infants, which both depend on the mobility assist, we also would like to serve people with physical difficulties and wheelchair users. Thus, our fundamental design of facilities is ‘wheelchair-accessible’, and in extensions, we add on and adjust some of our accommodations and facilities to support the need for those with physical difficulties.

Baan Khaolak Beach Resort received the prestigious Wheelchair Friendly Resort Award and Certificates from MSDHS [Ministry of Social Development and Human Security], 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 for the amenities, facilities and outstanding services, and also from ASA [The Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage] in 2009. Just recently, the resort received ‘Friendly Design Awards 2019’ from Thailand Friendly Design Expo 2019.
